Established in 1958 in Sarayönü Square, Nicosia, Can Sigorta began operations as the Kıbrıs General Agency of Güneş Sigorta A.Ş., becoming the first Turkish-owned insurance company in Cyprus. Competing successfully with Greek Cypriot insurers until 1974, our company has maintained its position as a market leader in Northern Cyprus for over 63 years.

In 1978, our Chairman, Mr. Mehmet Can, founded Can Holding Ltd., followed by the establishment of Can Sigorta Ltd. in 2003. With a legacy built on trust, innovation, and entrepreneurial vision, Mr. Can has dedicated his expertise to advancing the Turkish Cypriot insurance industry.
