For home damage, the first step is an assessment over a live video call.
Make a ClaimWhen damage occurs at home, it is important to understand the situation and decide what needs to be done. CAN Sigorta’s digital damage assessment allows our assessor to examine the damaged area over a live video call.
The aim is to record the initial condition of the damage, identify the measures needed to stop it getting worse and make clear which steps the claim will follow. This way, the first assessment can begin without waiting for a physical visit.
You send your contact details, the address of the home, when it happened and a short description of the damage.
Our operations centre contacts you and sets up the call. During the call, guided by the assessor, you show the damaged area as a whole and in detail. Only areas that can be reached safely are examined.
After the first assessment, you are told which photos, documents or technical service reports are needed. If the nature of the damage requires it, an on-site inspection is arranged.
A charged phone with a camera and an internet connection is all you need. If you are not at home, an authorised person with access to the property can join the call.
The live video call is for the initial assessment. Cover and compensation are assessed on the basis of the findings in the claim file and the policy conditions. If the call is to be recorded, you will be informed in advance and asked for your consent.
If there is immediate danger, safety comes first. Do not enter areas where there is a risk of fire, electric shock or collapse. Do not put off calling for emergency help or taking safe steps to stop the damage spreading while you wait for the video call.
