Third-party insurance or comprehensive cover?

Third-party motor insurance
Third-party insurance relates to covered legal liability for injury or damage caused to other people or their property.
It does not normally protect the insured vehicle’s own accidental damage.
Comprehensive car insurance
Comprehensive car insurance may protect the insured vehicle against covered physical damage, subject to the selected policy, exclusions and optional extensions.
Depending on the policy, relevant protections may include accidental damage, fire, theft, vandalism, storm, flood, roadside assistance or other benefits.
The exact cover must be confirmed from the issued policy.
