CAN Sigorta’s weekend online traffic insurance process allows compulsory motor insurance to be arranged digitally on Saturday and Sunday, provided the full policy process is completed correctly.
The process can begin through the Online Insurance Form.
Submitting the form is only the first step. Before the vehicle is used, the full process must be completed:
- Vehicle details must be entered correctly
- Payment must be completed
- 3D Secure confirmation must be approved
- The final policy must be issued
- The policy start date and time must be valid
A Quote Is Not Active Insurance
Receiving a quote does not mean that the vehicle is insured.
Likewise, starting a payment or reaching the payment screen does not confirm that cover is active.
The important document is the issued final policy.
Before the vehicle is first used, the policy should be checked to confirm:
- Correct vehicle
- Correct registration number
- Policy issue
- Start date
- Start time
Weekend Payment and 3D Secure
Weekend online traffic insurance can include card payment through the digital process.
Where 3D Secure confirmation is required, the payment process must be completed successfully before policy issuance can continue.
A payment attempt that has not been successfully confirmed should not be treated as completed insurance.
Policy Start Time
The policy start time remains important on Saturday and Sunday.
A policy may be issued with a start time later than the payment time.
For example, if payment is completed at 10:15 but the final policy begins at 11:00, the vehicle should not be used before the policy start time has arrived.
The correct sequence is:
online form → payment → 3D Secure → final policy → start-time check → vehicle use
